Estudio del Ruido Producido por Neutrones Térmicos en las Cámaras RPC de CMS.

In this work we analize the thermal neutron production and propagation inside the CMS detector of LHC collider at CERN. The effect of thermal neutrons in the muon detectors is studied too, concretely in the resistive plate chambers (RPC). Thermal neutrons can produce signals in the muon chambers, resulting from capture effects, and generating noise for muon detection. In this work we study the noise from thermal neutrons, simulating its production, propagation, thermalization and capture inside the detector. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
