Abstract

In MIDAS project "Model of integral intervention to diminish the academia desertion in students of first level of the Universidad Industrial de Santander" the Learning Management System (LMS) MOODLE was used to build an application integrated to this platform "EA_GEMA" that allows students and professors to obtain information on the Learning Styles. This work presents the results of the application of this tool that allowed to students of Physics I and students of the career of Physics in sixth and seventh level to identify theirs learning style and the most appropriate strategies for learning, and to the professor to establish the proper strategies according to the predominant style of the course. The predominance of the reflexive style as a result in this group of students, it allowed to offer a series of alternative resources and strategies that would favour the development of competitions like responsibility and autonomy, in the students.
