Abstract
- Examines the influence of the investigations of a Pfiesteria piscicida outbreak in the Chesapeake Bay on the national debate on pollution controls and the link between environmental and human health. Plans for a study of the Pocomoke River to sample fish and record any externally visible anomalies; Impacts on human health which were documented; Theory on why the outbreaks may have occurred; How the outbreak spread to two other rivers.
