Abstract
- The article reports on how several U.S. states, including Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Ohio, will introduce a performance-based assessment for teacher-candidates, called the Teacher Performance Assessment. The use of standardized tests in licensing systems in the U.S. and the role of the group Teacher Performance Assessment Consortium in changes to the current system are discussed.
