Abstract

Designs a hyperbolically tapered microstrip transmission line for matching a complex load to a standard coaxial cable, based on the solution of the Riccati equation. Use of an iterative procedure to yield the phase constant leading to an accurate design; Miniturization of solid state circuits; Numerical example for the case of an arbitrary complex load.
