Abstract

Abstract: In(OH)3 and In2O3 nano-structures have been synthesized from the reaction of In(CH3COO)3 and sodium hydroxide by a sonochemical method. The effects of reaction conditions, such as the concentration of the In3+ ion, aging time and power of the ultrasonic device have been investigated. The In2O3 and In(OH)3 nano-structures were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), Thermal Gravimetric Analysis (TGA), Differential Thermal Analysis (DTA) and Energy-dispersive X-ray analysis (EDAX) technique.
