Lipid peroxidation research in Europe and the COST B35 action ‘Lipid Peroxidation Associated Disorders’.

The authors reflect on the lipid peroxidation (LPO) research in Europe and the Cooperation in the field of Scientific and Technical Research (COST) B35 Action for Lipid Peroxidation Associated Disorders. They say that LPO process is useful in various kinds of diseases and in the ageing process due to its effects on cell functioning and cellular metabolism. They comment on the effort made by the COST B35 Action to distribute the knowledge on LPO with the use of networking research platform.
