Specific Learning Disability and the Right to Education 2009 Act: Call for action.

The author reflects on the specific learning disability (SpLD) and the implementation of Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 (RTE) in India. SpLD is a group of neurological disorders in childhood which causes difficulties in learning (dyslexia), write (dysgraphia) or performing mathematical calculations (dyscalculia). He is critical of the Right to Education Act (RTE) by the government of India for not serving the cause of SpLD children.
