A Strategic Defence Review: Lessons from the Past.

In this article the author discusses aspects of the history British military policy and doctrine. The article was written in the wake of the 2010 release of British government mandated report that reviewed British military policy and the state of Great Britain's strategic forces. A number of topics are addressed including the changing nature of modern warfare, the diminished role played by Great Britain in global military exploits, and British reliance on her allies, particularly the United States.
