Abstract

The article discusses the publication's review of 15 Kenyan and Sumatran coffees. Generally speaking, Kenyan coffees are acidic and fruity, while Sumatran brews are marked by sweetness and distinct aromas. Among the seven Kenyan coffees tested the Allegro Crand Cru coffee, available at retailer Whole Foods, was judged to be of excellent quality. No Sumatran brew was considered excellent, although all 7 were deemed good. An accompanying chart ranks the entries in both categories according to taste quality, and provides costs per pound.
