Abstract
- The N-monoalkylation of 3-nitro, 5-methyl-3-nitro, and 5-ethyl-3-nitro-1,2,4-triazoles by epichlorohydrin polymers and copolymers is nonselective in the presence of base. The reaction products are nitrotriazoles substituted by the polymeric chain in positions 1 or 2 of the heterocycle. The mass fraction of the 2-isomer is 9.6-11.3%. The degree of substitution of the chlorine by the nitrotriazole ring is 98.0-99.5%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
