Abstract
- The article presents a study that assesses the effect of ion channel grating randomness on spike firing time and mutual information in the U.S. Researchers used supra-threshold filtered Poisson process with an intensity of 10 [s-1] to 50 stochastic Hodgkin-Huxley (HH) neuron models. They found that mutual information was maximized and concluded that intrinsic supra-threshold stochastic resonance (SSR) played a vital role in excessive input signal processing of sensory nervous system.
