Abstract: The article presents a case study of a 71-year-old woman admitted because of dyspnea and fatigue. A computed tomography scan reveals pleural, multiple and pulmonary hepatic metastases. The patient began treating with oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil and was enrolled in a clinical investigation to detect circulating tumor cells.
