Abstract

The article reports that unusually low borrowing costs have prompted many corporations to issue debt. Restaurant chain McDonald's Corp. and consumer products company Kimberly-Clark Corp. are among firms that have so acted. Despite expectations, corporate bonds continue to be popular with investors, thus keeping companies' cost of debt down.
