Abstract
- This paper describes a four-quadrant analogue divider making use of photoresistors as voltage-controlled resistances. The range of operation is between -l0 and + 10 volts and the accuracy is within 5% over the useful range. <BR> Analogue division is normally performed by making use of multipliers in a feedback system. Such circuits becomes unstable when the divisor approaches zero. Because of this difficulty, division is normally avoided. However, sometimes ratio of analogue signals are required and one or both may pass through zero. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
