Abstract

The article features artist Robert Angeloch. He was born in Richmond Hill, New York City and studied at the Art Students League from 1946-1951. He learned woodcut technique under Fiske Boyd in New Hampshire in 1947 and went to the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy in 1952. Angeloch reportedly preferred earthy or muted colors and bright or greenish ones which he finds more congenial to his ideas of nature and more responsive to accents of lighter or darker colors. He taught drawing and painting techniques using still life for demonstrations.
