Abstract
- The article offers information on a study which assessed trends in utilization of intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) for head and neck cancer (HNC) from 2000 to 2005 in the U.S. Data reviewed were from the Surveillance, Epidemiology and End Resuts (SEER)-Medicare linked database. The researchers employed multivariate logistic regression analyses to determine the influence of patient, tumor, treatment and sociodemographic traits on receipt of IMRT against conventional radiotherapy techniques. A discussion on the research findings is detailed.
