Descortinando a Lógica Diocesana no Espaço Fluminense.

This article analyses the politic dimension of the sacred spatiality approaching the Catholic territoriality in the Federal State of Rio de Janeiro. The main focus lies on the spatial interpretation of the origin and religious management of the so called "fluminenses dioceses" by the National Conference of Bishops of Brazil (CNBB). On this background the article is particularly interested in the dynamics of socio-spatial occupation and transformation within the selected area promoted by the Catholic Church in order to attend religious demands and to maintain its control of the people living in the selected area.
