Abstract

The article presents the study which determines the effect of snowdrift sublimation to the surface mass balance at Neumayer, located on the Ekstrõ ice shelf in Eastern Antarctica. The researchers compares observations of the timing and frequency of snowdrift events. The study reveals several aspects of snowdrift sublimation process including wind speed, relative humidity and temperature.
