Abstract: The article features the farm of Peter Sands in Brewood, Staffordshire that grows oats, wheat and oilseed rape. The farm uses granular and liquid fertilizers in its cultivation systems. An application of an Atlantis herbicide is made when the weather starts to get warm to keep the land free from blackgrass. The farmer rents three tractors, sells his straw to recoup his fertilizer expenses and offers storage space to neighboring farmers for a fee.
