Abstract
- The article reports on the 2009 bird banding at Kelleys Island in Ohio. A total of 520 birds of 63 species were banded at the island. The highlights of the season include the banding of a clay-colored sparrow in Long Point on May 16, 2009. Some of the unusual birds that were banded during the year include the Arcadian flycatchers, eastern kingbird, wood thrush, northern parula and song sparrow. During the past 14 years, the station has banded a total of 4,126 birds of 102 species.
