Community Pharmacy Is Alive and Well.

In this article the author examines the state of the independent pharmacy community sector in the U.S. The performance of the National Community Pharmacists Association (NCPA) is suggested as a basis for measuring the success of independent pharmacy. Among the indicators that the sector is performing well are an increase in the number of pharmacies that were opened in 2008, as well as the number of student pharmacists who attended NCPA meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana in 2009.
