Abstract: The article presents a study which examined the catalytic lignin volarization to provide a perspective that would prompt the development of new catalysts and process to valorize lignin for the production of renewable chemicals. Possible reactions of chemicals obtained during degradation of processed lignin streams is explained. It is stated that molecular weight and amount of lignin differ from plant to plant.
