Abstract
- The article reports on the ways being done to revive the moribund retail bond market in Australia. The Australian federal government hopes that the tax break and less paperwork it offer brings some hope into revitalizing the market because rigorous paperwork hinders individuals from buying bonds that will be issued over the next 12 to 18 months. Melbourne Business School senior fellow Sam Wylie said that the household portfolios are not ready for corporate bonds as it takes a lot to achieve diversification in this investment.
