Abstract

The article discusses the Title IX of 1972 Education Amendments which aims to stop sex-base discrimination in education as well as in athletics. It explores athletic litigation issues including team competitions of opposite-sex and sexual harassment. It cites the Supreme Court decision in Jackson v. Birmingham Board of Education wherein the coach whistleblower of sex-discrimination against his players was fired. It also tackles the administration and enforcement of the Act.
