Abstract
- The article studies the rhetoric of Petrus Helias, a twelfth century French philosopher and grammarian also known as Peter Helias. It discusses how his influences such as Thierry of Chartres manifested in his work, and explores novelties introduced by Helias. It also suggests that his work on both rhetoric and grammar is more similar to Italian tradition than that of Northern France.
