Abstract

The article discusses a study about the cardiotocography plus ST analysis of fetal electrocardiogram compared with cardiotocography only for intrapartum monitoring. Results of the metabolic acidosis calculation in fetal blood sampling showed rates of 1.6 percent in the ST analysis group and 2.6 percent in the randomized controlled trial group. The study also compared the number of operative deliveries, Apgar scores, neonatal admissions, and newborns with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy in both groups.
