Abstract

The article focuses on the marketing and advertising strategy of McDonald's. It notes that McDonald's introduced free wireless Internet in all of its stores in the U.S. in January 2010 which, according to the author, is giving a wider base of consumers more reasons to stop by more frequently. It states that the earnings of the chain increased 6% to 4.6 billion U.S. dollars. Also cited is the plan of McDonald's to launch new McCafé Frappé blended ice drinks.
