Abstract
- The article discusses the incorporation of a model that stimulates methane emissions from northern peatlands into a dynamic global vegetation model. Several areas including peatland hydrology, permafrost dynamics, and peatland vegetation were stimulated through the modification of the model LPJ-Wetland Hydrology and Methane (LPJ-WHyMe). A mechanistic approach was used for the stimulation of methane emissions by LPJ-WHyMe.
