Judicial diversity—an essential component of a fair justice system.

Abstract
- The author reflects on judicial diversity to deliver equal and impartial justice system. The author argues that it is only through judicial diversity that people can realize the promise by former U.S. President Thomas Jefferson of impartial and equal justice for everybody. The author discusses a 2001 survey which reveals that 55% of African Americans think that judges are not impartial and fair. The author says that diverse judiciary reduces the notion of bias and the actual chance for bias.
