Abstract: The article presents news briefs of interest to British nurses. The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) is asking nurses to participate in the consultation into laws regarding dangerous dogs. Research indicates that specialist nurses could help 40 percent of persons dependent on alcohol to quit drinking. The author reports that research demonstrates that British specialist nurses have greater autonomy than their European counterparts.
