Paradoxes of Sexuality, Gay Identity, and the Closet.

The article presents a study on the discursive premises of sexuality, gay identity, and the closet which causes the emergence of paradox. It states the use of autoethnography, a combination of autobiography and ethnography, in examining the manifestation of the paradoxical premises of sexuality, gay identity, and the closet. It reveals that metacommunication helps clear premises and provides an understanding of how paradox occurs on such premises.
