Abstract

The article describes the marbled murrelet or Brachyramphus marmoratus, a seabird living along the Pacific Coast of North America. The murrelet flies inland each evening to nest in the tall forests of the Pacific Coast of North America, from Alaska to southern California. The sea and the forest homes are cited as key factors to survival of the marbled murrelet.
