Abstract

The article reports on research which used a survey to assess the types and levels of support that academic health science libraries provided to biomedical researchers. Researchers used the survey with 134 academic health sciences libraries in the U.S. and Canada. They found that 133 of the libraries provided some sort of support to biomedical researchers and that all of the libraries felt that librarian support for researchers was important, somewhat important or very important. They also found that several types of support were offered to researchers including licensed electronic resources and individual consultations with researchers.
