The article reprints the 1734-1735 political journal entries of Edward Harley, third Earl of Oxford (1699-1755), while he served as a Member of Parliament in Great Britain's House of Commons. Some of the events discussed include his appointment as a Knight of the Shire for the county of Hereford, England on May 8, 1734; issues of military and naval spending and the size of the Great Britain's Navy and Army; and details of several parliamentary debates regarding elections, election fraud, and election laws.
