Abstract
- The article offers information on a study conducted to find out whether IgE sensitization explains the difference between allergic diseases and depression. The study measures the presence of depression, total serum, allergen-specific IgE levels and presence of eczema and asthma among the population. The study reveals that IgE-mediated mechanisms could not explain the relationship between allergic diseases and depression.
