Abstract
- The article focuses on the connection of sound epistemologies, repertoires of popular music, and ethnic difference on the seventeenth-century in Italy. It states that the analysis was derived on two scenes from the 1612 commedia dell'arte play entitled "Lo Schiavetto" (The Little Slave). It says that the embodiment and historical circumstances of the original performers were considered. It adds that the musical discussion concentrated on madrigal comedy genre and the work of Giulio Caccini.
