Abstract
- The article presents a study which examines the implication of the community-based application of mild therapeutic hypothermia in the survivors of cardiac arrest in Pennsylvania. It mentions that the study was conducted in 44 patients by using ice and cooling blankets. It reveals that mild therapeutic hypothermia gives patients 43% of survival with good neurologic outcome until hospital discharge. It suggests that mild therapeutic hypothermia is technically safe in a community-base setting.
