Abstract
- The authors reflect on the benefits of depression treatment to patients with cardiovascular diseases. They mention the Project Coronary Psychological Evaluation Studies (COPES) which proves the benefits of the Improving Mood-Promoting Access to Collaborative Treatment (IMPACT) collaborative care model to patients with acute coronary syndrome (ACS). They believe that depression screening improves the cardiovascular outcomes of patients leading a better emotional health and physical functioning.
