Abstract
- The article presents a case study of a 37-year-old woman who was admitted to the hospital for vertigo, left-sided weakness, and a mass in the brain. A ring-enhanced mass in the right parietal lobe of her brain was discovered through magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) while computed tomographic (CT) scans of the chest showed a lobulated mass in the right lower lobe of the lung, similar to an arteriovenous malformation. The possible diagnosis is a polymicrobial brain abscess due to hematogenous spread of infection.
