Abstract
- The article discusses several issues on the preservation of biodiversity in India as highlighted by the Biodiversity Act 2002. India is a signatory to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) which integrates the objectives of conservation, sustainable use and benefit sharing. The National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) is soliciting comments and views on the International Regime on Access and Benefit Sharing in line with the 11th Conference of Parties signatory to the CBD in 2012.
