Abstract

The article presents a randomized trial which tests three interventions designed to increase the screening rates of colorectal cancer (CRC) among African-Americans. The study used three interventions such as one-on-one education, reducing out-of-pocket costs and group education for increased knowledge regarding CRC wherein participants would also undergo the screening test. The results manifested that CRC cancer screening rates among African Americans could be increased through group education.
