Systematics of the Aquatic Angiosperm Genus Myriophyllum (Haloragaceae).

The article presents a study which explores the genetic relationship between the species of the angiosperm genus Myriophyllum (Haloragaceae), water milfoils. The study examined the phylogenetic structures of 43 sample species taken from several continents including Australia, Europe and Asia. Results show that there are multiple cryptic species in Australian species and suggests realignments within the subgeneric classification such as the recombination of monotypic genus Meziella.
