Abstract
- The article presents a study on utility of cross-species amplification of 34 rohu microsatellite loci in Labeo bata and their transferability in six other species of the cyprinidae family. It mentions that genomic DNA was extracted, and quantity and quality were checked following a standard protocol. Reportedly, the success rate of cross-species amplification was about 90 percent in the congeners.
