Abstract

The article presents a study involving the characterization of poly(glycerol-sebacate) (PGS) in curing temperatures and durations. PGS is used for creating man-made microenvironments for tissue engineering and therapeutic applications. Its samples are acquired through curing the pre-polymer in a vacuum oven at 20 kilopascals. The results showed that PGS is an elastomer that is fully amorphous over 35 degrees Celsius.
