The article presents a reprint of the article "Education," by Anne Sullivan, which first appeared in the "American Suzuki Journal." The author narrates her experience of taking a Suzuki recorder training with musician Mary Halverson Waldo in Mountain View, California in which she became more interested in flute. She says that her experience of playing the flute brought her to a new understanding of communicating with her students and to other people, particularly refugees who come to the U.S.
