Abstract
- The article focuses on the plan of aircraft manufacturer Boeing for production alternatives to its Boeing 737s and 777s. It notes that the company is considering to address production issues with the two planes which posted delivery records in 2009 following a year of recession. It mentions that the plan of competitor Airbus to conduct a power plant upgrade for the A320 brings pressure on Boeing. The product development team for the 737 will be headed by vice president Mike Bair while consultant Lars Anderson will lead the 777 program.
