Abstract: The article offers news briefs related to veterinary practice in the U.S. The American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) has decided to increase member dues. The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine has been awarded a 3.9 million dollar construction grant to renovate research facilities at the school. Michael Lairmore of the Ohio State University has been named the new president of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP).
