Abstract

The article explores why good project management skills are needed by engineers and scientists. According to the author, there are two types of project managers and they are he career project manger and the infrequent project manager. It is essential that project managers must consider four essential roles which are business case development, project delivery planning, project delivery and benefits delivery. It also discusses the four basic stages of a project each of which asks a value-added question that must be asked and answered.
