Abstract
- LONDON -- A parliamentary committee on Wednesday accused News International of having exhibited ''collective amnesia'' in an inquiry about how its News of the World tabloid hacked into the telephones of members of the royal family, celebrities and other public figures. ''We have repeatedly encountered an unwillingness to provide the detailed information that we sought, claims of ignorance or lack of recall, and deliberate obfuscation,'' the panel, known as the Culture, Media and Sport Committee, said in a report.
